Eve's chimerical thoughts

It still feels like a dream that I actually completed my 2 months internship at Taiwan.

周晉澄 <chouchin@ntu.edu.tw>
Sorry,

boooo...........

*warning* broken english + uncheck grammar and spelling + negativity + maybe some wrong translations and vocab*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
so today is my first day of work. but then urgh whatever. im blogging here from today onwards. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
okay so i arrived quite early, 20 minutes walk. then i just sit outside until a vet assistant came and guided me in. she took me around and visited the fucking 5 levels of building. and went to see every assistants and vet there. everyone was like so fucking busy and dont even have time to look at my face. i was like, die lo, why they no friendly de ? they dun like me isit ? . then the assistant too me and gave me 2 scrubs (the green2 clothes that doctor wear for surgery). so she told me i am going to wear this everyday i come to work. i was like: okay, so i dont have to worry about my fashion ? (what shit fashion, now u dont even have a life please) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
everyone was like so busy, nobody have time to guide me what i need to.  do.  so i have a strong sense feeling i dont belong here, insecurity, hopeless, stupid, u are nobody. the vet doctor that suppose to guide was on MC today so i just followed everyone that needed help. but then when i ask do they need any help, they said it was okay. then i lagilah feeling not needed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
the first task i was asked to help is to hold a rabbit that a vet wanted to inject for rehydration( a fucking 50ml syringe =.= ) on it and force feed. then it kept moving so the vet said it is very dangerous. i was like haih sorry la i hold a rabbit also cannot. sad die me.  then one of the assistant saw me so retard then she went and teach me how to hold a rabbit properly. and how to discharge the used equipments, sterilize equipments, preparing the sets for surgery.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
after that some customers kept coming in continuously so i get the chance to observe and listen to how the vet talk to them and do diagnosis + analysis.
here are some treatment that i observed the whole day ( i feel so stupid just standing beside, but they say it is okay)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. force feeding (灌食(草粉)), injection for rehydration (皮下點滴). ( they check the dehydration buy pulling up the skin and see how fast the skin went back to normal shape, so when the skin is shaggy and slow to reshape back, it means it is dehyrated. normal bunnies' skin reshape back quite immediately)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2. castrations of 2 sugar gliders. i was amazed that how fast the surgery can be done, just under 10 minutes. first they use gas anestasia ( 氣麻 (氣體全身麻醉)) either in a box or by using mask. then shaving the balls. sterilize the balls. keeping track the breathing rate is very important so that the animal do not die suddenly =.= cut open the scrotum, pressing out the testis, pull out, then tying up the gland. seal back with the tissue glue (組織膠) dont even need stitches what the heck ! wait until they wake up then they can go home ! just make sure that they didnt bite their wound.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3. then some other animals general checkup. a. asking for appetite b. body activities c. environment temperature. then start doing the general process. 1. weighing 2. excretion analysis 3.blood test 4. x-ray. then checking for the ear, eyes, mouth, palpating the abdomen and an ECG test.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4. one lizard that do not have sufficient heat supply was sick and lungs got infected. ( insuficient heat > decreasing of immune system > infections) the owner didnt know that it need one direct supply of heat. so the symptoms was decresing of appetite, soft and liquid excretion, inwards curve of eyes, inflame and fungal infected appendages.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5. rabbits and guinea pigs need different and alot of vege for different ages. soft shelled tortoise are recommended to take in supplement of calcium. reptiles needed alot of heat supply. 貂 (furret or fruit fox or racoon lol wth i didnt check) cannot take in sugars.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
6. saw one admitted bunny got a hole above its nose at the nasal cavity. i asked what happened. and one rabbit expert told me that it got too much secretions and blockage at the nasal cavity, but the usual treatment didnt work. so they decided to drill a hole at the nasal cavity ( wtffffffff) but she told me it can heal much later on.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
so i will be working 3 days then off 1 day from 9am-6pm. they provide lunch so it saved alot of money actually. the lunch box was very good. and a big cup of bubble tea.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
conclusion, i feel worthless and stupid and hopeless. wth i spent these 2 years learning in dkhp ? im tired. my legs are killing me cuz i didnt have chance to sit the whole day. but grateful at the same i have chance to learn alot about these exotic animals. and yummy lunch lol.
An ACG event is approaching but your wallet-kun don't let you to afford any costume for cosplaying ?!
Well, fret not ! Now I am going to show you how to DIY a Japanese School Girl bow tie that appear in most of the anime !
Just match it with your formal white shirt + cardigan / blazer + cute pleated skirt ~
wolla~ You are now cosplaying as a anime girl !
What You Need
A+ B+ C = A big piece of satin cloth !
E = Needle & Thread ( or simply a sewing machine)
D = 60cm of ribbon
and of course A Pair of Scissors
This is how you measure and cut your piece of cloth.
*only cut at the bold line
*the thin line is for sewing
*make sure you draw your lines at the BAD SIDE of your cloth
Measure , cut and sew A first.
 Flip over
Fold in the right side to the middle
Fold in the left side to the middle
Make sure the both side are overlap then sew at the middle.
Fold the desire pattern of your bow
Sew at the middle
It should look like this
Measure and cut B.
remember to replicate of another one !
Sew at the doted lines and leave a blank space at the middle to flip over
Flip over using the space
After flipping over
Pinch the bottom part to the upper part at the middle
Sew it when you got the desired shape of it
It will become like this
Sew A and B together at the middle
Like this
Measure and cut C.
Fold it at the middle and sew at the side.
Flip over ~
Roll and cover the middle part of the bow then cut the excess part
Before you sew it, insert the ribbon
Sew and secure at the back side of your bow
Tadaaa ~ Thats it !
It is really easy and suitable for any newbie without any sewing basic skill because no matter how badly you sew, you wont be able to see it ! LOL
And yes, I did this entirely by hand, not machine !
This is how my Cosplay looks like !
See ya~
 So~ I just finished my first year of college in UPMKB and currently we are having a almost 3 months sem break !
Due to the excessive free time rotting at home, Im thinking of doing something that required more time to be done. I decided to give my dull new laptop a make-over. Else my sister been nagging on me that I dont love my new laptop that much, and my parents are afraid that I might scratch the surface of the laptop.
I took a few days to plan for the design, searching for illustrations and materials that are suitable for DIY cover, and of course to determine which theme suit you the best and you like it the most. Well of course, the ability of yours for completing your imagination is a crucial consideration too. If not, you might be giving up half way on your work and wasting your time and money.
Now I will be revealing the way I make my laptop cover.
1. Prepare your materials.
   :- your laptop,
    - your illustrations
 [ I drew and coloured the all Gens starters with macarons, credit to the owner of deviantart]
    - contact paper / self-stick book cover available in Malaysia Borders
    -your choice of gift wrapping papers [I am a blue maniac]
    -fabric tapes from Daiso
    -double sided tape
    -a pair of scissors
2. Layers of Contact Paper on your laptop surface
   Many of us would be afraid to damage our laptop surface by direct sticking on anything.
   So that is why we needed contact paper to provide transparent protection.
 This is how it looks like after 2 layers of contact paper
 3. Gift Wrapping Paper as cover's Background
   draw and cut according to your laptop's cover
4. Decorate your cover's background with fabric tapes.
Watch out for the mess you created LOL
I basically just ruined y whole living room while working on this.
 This is how it looks after sticking on all the tapes accordingly
 5. Stick your illustrations !
I drew my Pokemon on an A4 stickers and coloured them. Then, I stick them on a cereal's box then only cut them out to make them thicker and provide more texture on the cover.
I just stick them with double sided tape
6. Last layer of contact paper
Put another layer of contact paper on the completed cover.
 Till now, it basically just look and feel like a laptop cover in the market
 7. Stick it on your laptop!
Bash the generous amount of double sided tapes on your laptop after the contact paper, you wont hurt your laptop anymore~
Feel like something is missing although it is 99% done eh ?
8. Hemming gives the solid look and feel.
Use the leftover fabric tapes to stick at the side.
Now we are 100% DONE!
Feel free to DIY anything, you might get some unique surprise after you are done ;D
 The annually Japanese Film Festival 2013 was held in our school UPMKB
on last 7th and 8th December.
It is basically a Japanese themed festival that mainly about films.
On the 2 days festival, there a total of 7 films showed in out school hall.
Throughout the festival, there are many fun activities going around too !
Every admission to the films are free !
They even give you tickets for the movies.
 During the opening ceremony, there are some of my friends are
involved in the traditional Japanese dance.
All of them are super cute!
There was also some stall selling food and handicraft outside our school hall too.
Unfortunately I cant find any Japanese food there.
This is my lunch on the first day.
a RM2.80 Nasi Lemak
and
RM1.00 nugget
After my lunch, I waited until 1.30pm with my friends because we cant wait to try out
the Japanese traditional garment- Yukata
 Well, not everyone got the chance to try out the outfit,
we had to draw to get the lucky paper only then we are able to pick which
Yukata we would like to try on.
I got the lucky draw on my first try ;)
If not, the lady ( Mio Chan) who helped everyone to put on their Yukata will surely fainted.
 This is my trying out Yukata. Photo credit to the camerawoman- Christine Teh
Fact : Yukata (浴衣) which people always mistake as kimono, are usually only worn in summer and it is made of cotton. When both of these characteristic are negative, then it is probably a kimono。
and then we have Origami session with Miss Kiyoko.
This girl is Ana, the facilitator of this section.
Beside her is Maruan, a super genius little boy who was so expert in origami.
Kids nowadays are really unpredictable, they might be smarter than you !
 we also have some fun traditional toys to play with and sakura kirigami to try out.
Fact: Kirigami aka paper craft is different from Origami in the way that, kirigami involved in cutting the paper, while origami is just to fold the paper without cutting them.
 Photo Credit: Thanks to Kak Ayen , Kak Nadia, and Iman for the photos.
And special thanks to the Japanese facilitator who helped me to put on the clothes.
On the next day, I was so lucky and super excited that I got the chance
to try out the Japanese school uniform !!!
I am always dreaming in wearing those like the anime.
Finally I fulfilled my dream on that day :3
 We actually have variety of Japanese clothing to tryout.
 These uniforms are actually in real good quality.
The skirts have a special hook which I think it is common in Japan
And the blazer really makes me sweat!
These clothing materials are really good as you can feel it with you hands.
The texture is different.
 We also got the chance to become a volunteer in the Yukata Demonstration.
The slipper for the guys are really funny to look at.
I dont even know why.
This is me trying on the second uniform.
Photo credit : Thanks to Ana and Asha
Last but not least, the Onigiri ( rice ball) workshop.
Which is pretty fun other than the uniform trial.
You can actually make an Onigiri on your own and eat them.
We made Tuna filling Onigiri.
Makes me really wanna make more of them ~~~~
These were basically what I did in the festival.
Im really grateful that I joined this awesome festival to give a beautiful end for my 2013.
All I thought at first life in Bintulu would be super duper boring,
but these events proved that it is not.
2014 is coming, let's see what awaits us in the future.
Hoping for more fun activities !!!
